Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is RNB and Hip Hop Radio! We spoke with Lorenzo Thomas about the station's setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and some of the station's best hits. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
I used to be with Live365 before it shut down, and my station was doing very well. Thus, I hoped the directory still possessed the huge listenership and wanted to take full advantage of it.
What's your studio like?
I use Sam Broadcaster and Sennheiser microphones. It's an in-house operation, but I use a backdrop and green screen when broadcasting for video promotions or sports updates. Next year, we will do a few live broadcasts from South Beach.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
RNB and Hip Hop Radio is Your Station for Today's RNB, Hip Hop and Throwbacks. I refer to our station as a hybrid of Urban radio stations. There's a huge void in Urban Radio and our station is programmed for listeners who are a part of the First Generation of Hip Hop and grew up listening to classic R&B. Our purpose is to program the entire radio station to satisfy the forgotten demographic.

What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
My favorite moment happened last month when I discovered our station, RNB and Hip Hop Radio, is listed as #1 on Google search results and it ranks #2 on Bing. I am genuinely excited and looking forward to great things happening in 2019 and beyond.
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
I have been to so many, and I can't just narrow it down to one. But if I had to say one, it would be Prince! Truly one of a kind, and one of the best.
