Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is WDWNTunes! We spoke with Chris Reid about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!
What brought you to Live365?
We came to Live365 so that we could play beloved Disney Park music on an outstanding, reliable, flexible broadcast program. Live365 gives us a perfect platform to provide listeners with this programming.
What's your studio like?
We power our station on a PC, using high-quality Shure SM7B microphones along with Audio Technica AT2020 microphones. Headphones are the Beats brand.
What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?
Listeners can expect to be transported to Disney Parks all across the world. We have curated our playlists so the parades, fireworks, and special events play at the same time as they will in Walt Disney World.
What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?
The best part is providing the experience of Walt Disney World to people without them having to physically be there. It is all about the experience. The experience listening to WDWNTunes will be exactly like being at Walt Disney World, so it's vacation when you can't physically be at the theme parks!
What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?
I think for us Disney Parks fans, seeing Illuminations: Reflections of Earth has been a fantastic experience. The fireworks and musical soundtrack is such an earworm. Though it recently ended its long run at Epcot, the music is treasured every single day!
What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?
