Grammy Awards Set for February 2023 in Los Angeles

Following the April 2022 ceremony in Las Vegas, the Grammy Awards will return to Los Angeles next year with a ceremony set for February 2023.

Taking place at Crypto.com Arena – formerly known as Staples Center – on February 5, the iconic music awards show will be broadcast live on CBS as well as livestreamed on Paramount+.

While the February date is typical for the Grammys, organizers will have to see what the pandemic has in store this upcoming winter in order for the date to be kept. The Recording Academy had initially planned for the 2022 Grammys to occur in January, but pushed back the ceremony due to concerns about the Omicron variant. The previous year, the Grammys took place in March at the Los Angeles Convention Center after also being postponed from a planned January date.

Nominations for the 65th awards will be announced on November 15, 2022. Last month, the Recording Academy announced the addition of new Grammy Awards for the 2023 ceremony. New categories include Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), Best Alternative Music Performance, Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, and a Special Merit Award for Best Song for Social Change.
