Today (July 15) Paramore announced a 2022 fall tour that will happen across North America. The string of dates includes their headlining gig at the highly-anticipated When We Were Young festival, as well as a Toronto gig and shows at smaller venues.
The 12-show run begins in Bakersfield, California, and includes dates in various cities – such as Omaha, Austin, Chicago, and Atlanta. The band's headlining set at When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas falls in the middle of the tour. Noticeably, there's no inclusion of East Coast cities like New York, Philadelphia, or Boston on the itinerary. Fans speculate Paramore could be saving these locations for another leg of the tour in 2023.
The news comes right after the band announced a guitar-heavy studio album in the works. Additionally, frontwoman Hayley Williams made a public appearance at Coachella back in April, when she sang with Billie Eilish.
Paramore’s last album was 2017’s After Laughter, which saw the band push their music in a more new age direction. In the meantime, Hayley Williams has released last year’s solo endeavors Flowers for Vases / Descansos and the previous year’s Petals for Armor. She also released an emo-themed podcast back in April called Everything is Emo.
The verified fan presale sign-up is now open. The fan presale starts at 10am local on July 20, while general sale begins July 22. You can get more information about tickets here and register for the presale here.
