Halsey Announces Fifth Studio Album, 'The Great Impersonator'

Halsey has a confessional concept album on the horizon. After she previously promised an “all over the place” new record, Halsey has revealed key details about her fifth LP.

It's called The Great Impersonator and is set to be dropped at some point in 2024. While there is no official release date set, Halsey's website teases it’s coming this year, with the specific month blurred out for now.

A minute-and-a-half new trailer for the record hears Halsey reflect how, “When you get sick like that, you start thinking about ways it could have all been different” (Halsey was diagnosed with Lupus SLE and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022).

Sharing snippets of the different genres and eras to be heard on the follow-up to 2021’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, they then go on to ask in the video: “What if I debuted in the early 2000s, the ’90s, the ’80s, the ’70s… am I still Halsey every time, in every timeline?”

News about the LP comes just after Halsey made an appearance in Ti West's horror flick Maxxxine, the third installment in the X trilogy. She's also recently delivered three fresh singles: "The End," "Lucky," and "Lonely Is The Muse."
