Hear DMX's Final Feature on Chris Webby's New Track 'We Up'

The last verse DMX ever recorded for another artist before his untimely passing in April was for Connecticut rapper Chris Webby on the track "We Up." That track, including its music video, has now been released to the public.

The hyped-up song was produced by Nox Beatz and JP On Da Track, and X's lyrics appear within the bridge of the track. The music video for "We Up" was shot and directed by Rook Director. Webby is accompanied by members of the Ruff Ryders Lifestyle biker gang, who have been regularly featured in previous DMX music videos. The clip also sees X’s verse rapped by a digital pitbull wearing a Ruff Ryder chain.

"We Up" was shared as part of the #WebbyWednesday campaign and is a preview of Webby’s upcoming new album Still Wednesday, which is set for release on December 22.

"I’m honored, humbled, and mind blown that the song dropping this #WebbyWednesday even exists at all," Chris Webby said on Instagram. "As a student of Hip-Hop, I feel like this is one of the most important contributions I’ll have ever made to the culture that raised me. If I could have imagined having a song with DMX as a kid, this is exactly what it would have sounded like. It’s the last feature he ever recorded and it’s that classic X...raw energy, maximum intensity, barks, growls, the whole nine."

As for posthumous DMX news, the rapper's first album following his death, Exodus, was released in May. Additionally, a new documentary titled DMX: Don’t Try To Understand was released by HBO last month. Also in related news, tomorrow (Dec. 18) is "Earl 'DMX' Simmons Day" in New York.
