After days of anticipation, Laufey has finally released her music video for "Madwoman." As the internet's remarked, the visual features the world's most famous Wasian celebrities at the moment: Hudson Williams from Heated Rivalry, Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu, The Summer I Turned Pretty's Lola Tung, and KATSEYE member Megan Skiendiel.
"Madwoman" is the sixteenth track on the deluxe version of Laufey's third studio album, A Matter of Time. It has the Icelandic singer describing an almost-cursed relationship between herself and a lover. "It's like the gods above us don't approve / We've been through this before, fell in and out, I said, "No more" / But still I want you like a mad, mad woman," she croons in the song's chorus.

In the 60's inspired music video - directed by Warren Fu - Hudson Williams is cast as Laufey's love interest. Laufey, Williams, and the rest of the gang throw a California house party. They lounge by a pool, read gossip magazines, and play mahjong. There's plenty of Slim Aarons, Mad Men and In The Mood For Love aesthetics to go around, as well as chic choreography that the girls and various butlers participate in.
Laufey recently took home Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for A Matter of Time at the 2026 Grammys. Both she and Megan Skiendiel (as well as the rest of KATSEYE) made their Coachella debuts this past weekend (April 10-12). As for Alysa Liu, the figure skater did a routine to Laufey's 2023 track "Promise" during the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
