M83 Announce 'Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming' 10th Anniversary Limited-Edition Reissue

The 10th anniversary of M83's beloved electronic album Hurry Up, We're Dreaming occurred back in October. Now, to honor that milestone, M83 has announced plans to release a 10th anniversary limited-edition reissue of the 2011 album.

The record, which will be pressed on transparent orange vinyl, is due April 15 via Mute. The reissue will also feature new artwork, a reimagining of the original album cover using the same two children, now 10 years older. In addition to the reissue, M83 is celebrating the anniversary with a new music video for one of their Hurry Up, We're Dreaming tracks: “My Tears Are Becoming a Sea.”

The video, directed by Sacha Barbin and Ryan Doubiago, follows a pregnant couple driving to a hospital. After getting into a car accident on the way, the unborn child uses superpowers to save the parents. According to the directorial duo, the new visual is a prequel to Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming’s video trilogy of “Midnight City,” “Reunion,” and “Wait,” which also feature kids doing incredibly supernatural things.

“This story takes place 10 years earlier in order to highlight the first moment one of these children uses their supernatural gifts,” the directors explained in a statement. “We think that the panic created by this magnificent moment speaks to everyone.”

The reissue marks the French band's first release of any kind since 2019, when they dropped their most recent album DSVII and the soundtrack to Knife + Heart.
