The rock band Modest Mouse just announced their first new album in six years.
Titled The Golden Casket, the new record will be available June 25 via Epic Records. The album was produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and at Modest Mouse’s Portland studio. Throughout The Golden Casket, frontman Isaac Brock will explore several themes: from fatherhood to invisible tech through punk and experimental techniques.
The band also released their first single from the new album, "We Are Between." In 2019, the band released “Ice Cream Party,” “Poison the Well,” and “I’m Still Here,” sparking the anticipation of a new full-length album. However, none of them appear on The Golden Casket tracklist.
