Musical couple Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro have released RR, their new three-song EP that chronicles their romantic journey. The trio of songs on the project are “Beso,” “Vampiros,” and "Promesa."
Back in September 2021, Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro confirmed they were in a relationship. A few months later, they released their first musical endeavor together: Rosalía's Motomami single “Chicken Teriyaki,” which she co-wrote alongside Alejandro.
“For us it’s always love first and everything else later, but we skipped that this time so we could finish RR and share it with the world,” Rosalía said in a press release. “After more than three years these three songs are here and each one of them belongs to a different stage of love.”
Alejandro added: “We always knew we wanted to do music together. However, with our relationship being the focus, we had to find the right time. A long time has passed by now and finding a way to fit all my feelings for her in three songs has been nearly impossible. This means I will be spending my days writing and writing many more songs about and with her. We’re thrilled with this project. RR forever!”
While the singles "Vampiros" and "Promesa" only have visualizers, "Beso" has received the full music video treatment. It includes private never-before-seen footage captured by the artists during their travels in Japan, Puerto Rico, Spain, Dominican Republic, France, United Kingdom, United States, and more. It also ends with a memorable shot: Rosalía crying and wearing what looks like a diamond engagement ring.
In other Rosalía news, the artist shared her new single, “LLYLM,” in January. She also took home the trophy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Last fall, she won multiple awards for Motomami at the 2022 Latin Grammys, including Album of the Year, Best Alternative Music Album, Best Recording Package, and Best Engineered Album.
As for Rauw Alejandro, his latest album, Saturno, dropped in November. The Puerto Rican star has since released new songs with Daddy Yankee and Ángel Dior. He's currently in the midst of a North American tour in support of his LP.
