Two years after their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, art rock band Roxy Music will reunite this fall for a tour to celebrate the group's 50th anniversary.
Founding members Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson will all be part of the arena trek celebrating 5 decades since Roxy Music's 1972 self-titled debut LP. The North American tour spans 10 dates and will begin September 7 at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena. It will conclude September 28 at The Forum in Los Angeles.
Other stops on the tour include Washington, DC, New York City, Philadelphia, and Dallas. St. Vincent will serve as a special guest for all dates except for a stop in Boston. Following the North American dates, the band will also head to the U.K. to play 3 shows: Glasgow, Manchester, and London. Support for U.K. dates has not been announced.
This is Roxy Music’s first tour of the U.S. since 2003, and their first trek together since their For Your Pleasure dates in 2011. Since then, their only performance was at the 2019 Rock Hall induction ceremony. However, only singer Ferry, multi-instrumentalist Mackay, and guitarist Manzanera reunited for that performance.
Tickets for the North American dates go on sale starting April 4, with a pre-sale currently happening. Dates and ticket information can be found here. Next Friday, Roxy Music will reissue their first two albums, Roxy Music and For Your Pleasure, on vinyl. It will be the first two releases in a yearlong series of vinyl reissues. You can find them on Roxy Music's official online store.
