Sabrina Carpenter may have just created the next classic Christmas song. Yesterday (December 7) the artist released a music video for her new tune "Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do." It's a soft, warm ballad in which Carpenter tells an estranged lover she knows him better than Saint Nick does, and can give him everything he wants.
The music video shows Carpenter looking back on a loved-up holiday season with her beau. The couple are seen decorating a gingerbread house, dancing in front of the fireplace, ice skating together, and opening gifts. Carpenter said on Instagram the visual was inspired by the 1989 holiday film National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

"Santa Doesn't Know You Like I Do" appears on Carpenter's debut holiday EP, Fruitcake. Carpenter released the album in November. Fruitcake also features the song "A Nonsense Christmas" (which Carpenter dropped last year), as well as the new tracks "Buy Me Presents," "Cindy Lou Who," "Is It New Year's Yet?" and "White Christmas."
Carpenter's had quite the year. After releasing her most recent non-holiday album, Emails I Can't Send in July 2022, she's opened for Taylor Swift on the singer's Eras Tour, performed at the VMAs, and has had a revival thanks to the popularity of her song, "Feather." The single got an official music video in October, and has since gone viral.
