SZA Expands 'Ctrl' with Unreleased Tracks for Its 5th Anniversary

SZA's album Ctrl is now five years old! To celebrate the anniversary of her critically-acclaimed debut record, SZA has surprised fans with a deluxe edition.

Besides the 14 original tracks, Ctrl (Deluxe) features 7 unreleased songs: “Tread Carefully,” “Love Galore (Alt Version),” “2AM,” “Miles,” “Percolator,” “Awkward,” and “Jodie.” The new songs were all recorded during the Ctrl era, and some have already been online in some form.

Ctrl was released via Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records on June 9, 2017. The Grammy-nominated album, which is certified 2x Platinum in the U.S., contains hits like “The Weekend” and “Love Galore” with Travis Scott.

There might even be more Ctrl-era songs coming from SZA. “What isn’t on deluxe maybe on SoundCloud as well tomorrow? Deciding . Spring cleaning old thoughts,” SZA tweeted on June 9. “Everything made in 2014-2016 /17… not new lol to be absolutely clear.”

Ctrl is the last studio album SZA has dropped, and while she's released singles to the public, it's been five whole years since she's put out a proper record. Thankfully, SZA is prepping for the next era of her career. The artist recently revealed her long-awaited sophomore album is done and slated to drop this summer.

You can listen to Ctrl (Deluxe) via your preferred streaming platform here.
