Sir Van Morrison has announced that his new album, which will be his 41st record, is set to be released Oct. 25 via Exile/Caroline International. Ahead of the release of Three Chords and the Truth, he has shared the lead single, “Dark Night of the Soul.”
Following up The Prophet Speaks, this will be Morrison's sixth album in just the last four years.
The 14-track album was completely produced and written by Morrison, aside from one track entitled “If We Wait for Mountains,” which was co-written with Don Black. Guitarist Jay Berliner and The Righteous Brothers’ Bill Medley both contributed to the album as well.
