Watch New Trailer for Guy Clark Documentary 'Without Getting Killed or Caught'

The trailer for the upcoming Guy Clark documentary Without Getting Killed or Caught has been released ahead of the film's premiere next week during SXSW.

The 95-minute documentary on the life and career of singer-songwriter Guy Clark was produced and directed by Tamara Saviano and Paul Whitfield. Saviano wrote Clark’s biography in 2016, so the film is largely based on the book as well as Susanna Clark’s collection of personal diaries and recordings.

Actress Sissy Spacek narrates the story from the perspective of Susanna Clark. The film features appearances from Rodney Crowell, Verlon Thompson, Steve Earle, Terry Allen, and Vince Gill, and includes various vintage video footage, archival photos, and radio talk shows that Guy appeared on.

Without Getting Killed or Caught premieres during the SXSW Film Festival on March 13 at the Zach Theater in Austin, TX, and additional screenings will take place on March 14 and March 19.
