Cardi B, List, Top 10

Cardi B's Best Collaborations

We all know Cardi B is a shining star by herself. But when it comes to contributing bars to other artists' songs, she is the undisputed queen of collaboration. From Bruno Mars hits to Migos songs and even an Ed Sheeran tune, Cardi has the unique ability to amp up any song's gusto just by infusing her energetic personality into the mix. When Cardi B is featured on a new song, you know it's going to be a party.

Cardi B has almost 30 collaborations to her name. While each one of her bits is a bop in its own way, we thought we'd cherry pick our favorites from her impressive discography. We hope our list makes you say "okurrr" in agreement!

"Rumors" - Lizzo

Starting with Cardi's most recent collaboration, "Rumors" has the New York rapper reuniting with her Hustlers co-star, Lizzo, for a Hercules-esque number. Cardi B addresses the media and haters, proudly opening up about her plastic surgery, time as a stripper, and even complaints about the 2021 Grammys "WAP" performance. The varying tempo of her rhymes and chemistry with Lizzo make this song fantastic! #friendshipgoals.

"Wild Side" - Normani

We love how chill yet frisky Normani's "Wild Side" is. It's just as raunchy as "WAP," but smoother in style. This first collaboration between Normani and Cardi begins the era for the former Fifth Harmony member's upcoming debut album. Who knew Cardi could make a well-known J.G. Wentworth catchphrase so sexy?

"Type Sh--" - Migos

All these verses Cardi "done slayed!" "Type Sh--" has the rapper and her husband's trio group talking about the gang life they came from, and how it hasn't gone away in their new famous lives. Cardi's rap in this track is so confident and mighty, and we love how she opens up about her bisexuality in one line. Anyone else remember when she debuted her baby bump while performing this song at the BET Awards? Iconic.

"Taki Taki" - DJ Snake

Not only is Cardi B featured on this reggaeton bop, but so are Selena Gomez and Ozuna! Cardi's raps steamroll onto this track and don't let go. Like on other collaborations she's done, she talks honestly about her former life as a stripper and takes pride in her ambitious work ethic. We love her appearance in the music video for "Taki Taki" because she looks like a regal queen! She also raps in español!

"Finesse" - Bruno Mars

If there's anyone who can do old school hip hop well, it's Cardi B and Bruno Mars. Cardi opens this track with some "Bronx Boogie" and Bruno keeps the party going with silky verses.

On working with Cardi, Bruno revealed on Instagram: "I met Cardi B at 3 am after my show in LA backstage where we recorded her verse for Finesse. She walked in the room and she was everything I’d hope she’d be." He then offered the rapper some advice. "Never change Cardi! Don’t let this crazy music business change who you are. You posses something that can’t be taught. You’re a true star. Thank you for putting your energy and love all over this record and video."

"Finesse" proves Bruno Mars and Cardi B work so well as a team!

"Please Me" - Bruno Mars

No, SERIOUSLY: Bruno Mars and Cardi B work so well as a team. This track, which was released one day after Valentine's Day 2019, has Cardi and Bruno perfectly duetting with each other. It's also an ode to sexual pleasure and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After watching the music video, we hope Cardi and Bruno make their own version of A Star is Born, because the two might just have more musical chemistry than Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

"No Limit" - G-Eazy

Cardi B keeps the energy going in this fast-paced track. Her cameo in G-Eazy's standout The Beautiful & the Damned song proves she can do speedy raps just as well as slow ones. Cardi B borrows her flow from the hook of Tear Da Club Up Thugs' 1999 tune “Slob On My Knob.” G included Cardi’s verse in this track after her breakout hit "Bodak Yellow."

"Wish Wish" - DJ Khaled

If Cardi B is the queen of collabing, DJ Khaled is the king. And like the king he is, Khaled lets Cardi take the spotlight in this braggadocious party track. She raps about her fancy, expensive life, jewelry, money, and the pathetic haters - or "fish sticks" as she calls them. 21 Savage also has a part on this song, and mentions Cardi during his "album release" lyric.

"South of the Border" - Ed Sheeran

A Cardi B and Ed Sheeran collaboration? While their sounds may be total paradoxes of each other, the two musicians proved they could team up in the sensual jam "South of the Border." In Cardi's part, she raps about having a substantial relationship with a man: a contrast to her usual raps where she's just looking to keep things casual. It's actually a deep part that reflects upon her time as a stripper, and how people didn't take her seriously due to her profession.

On a lighter note, Cardi performs alongside fellow Latina musician Camila Cabello. Ed's spy-themed "South of the Border" music video is amazing. While everyone else in the visual plays a character, Cardi plays herself! And why wouldn't she? She's so cool, she doesn't need to pretend to be anybody else.

"Bet You Wanna" - BLACKPINK

Last but not least, we have Cardi's collaboration on BLACKPINK's "Bet You Wanna." Though her part is little, it is fierce! Keeping with the theme of the song, Cardi raps about how her expensive tastes help her catch men. She also gives a shoutout to her collab on "Please Me."

We love her final lyric: "I bet you if you make me sweat, I'll still be on fire." That line was actually supposed to be raunchier, but was rejected for the final cut of the song. When she tweeted the original lyrics back in 2020, she admitted it's hard for her to spit PG-rated bars. That's why Cardi's a rap goddess in our books: she's always honest!
