Fall Out Boy Send Fans Mysterious Postcards from 'Pink Seashell Beach'

Following an ad in the Chicago Tribune to begin teasing FOB8 (their eighth studio album), Fall Out Boy are continuing with the teasers. The band have been sending fans mysterious postcards from "Pink Seashell Beach," Kerrang reports.

Along with the postcards, the band have also launched an accompanying website, sendingmylovefrompinkseashellbeach.com. Aesthetically, it's the same style and branding as the postcards. The site cryptically states, "Take pleasure in the details." The page also encourage fans to "Join us for a sneak peek into the world." If you click the pink seashell, it leads to a black page with Japanese writing. A fan on Twitter explained the writing translates to, "If you build it, they will come."

However, the site also warns, "Do not open before Christmas," which fans speculate could mean Fall Out Boy plan to drop something around December 25th. "Do not open before Christmas" is also a lyric from their wordy track "Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn’t Get Sued," the opening song on From Under The Cork Tree.

Fans have shared their postcards on social media. The back of them read: ‘I saw you in a bright clear field. Hurricane heat in my head. The kind of pain you feel to get good in the end. Inscribed like stone and faded by the rain: “Give up what you love give up what you love before it does you in…”’

Fall Out Boy's last album was 2018's Mania. In 2021, they joined Weezer, Green Day, and the Interrupters for the Hella Mega Tour.
