Featured Spotlight Station: Generations X

Live365's "Featured Spotlight Station" this week is Generations X! We spoke with Robert Paul about their setup, what listeners can expect to hear, and the station's favorite songs. Check out the interview below!

What brought you to Live365?

I used to be a professional broadcaster and since I retired, I have been wanting to produce radio that makes someone smile and keep me sharp and in the game. This platform allows me to do just that. I am able to keep my production and writing skills sharp by being here on this tremendous platform Live365 has.

What's your studio like?

We are using RadioDJ running on a Windows server. We won't go live so that's all we really need. This is considered a Jukebox type of station designed for zero DJ chatter and just good music.

What can listeners expect when they tune in to your station?

We play an upbeat mix of the 80s and 90s. It's Adult Contemporary meets CHR radio from that time period. We also dig deep and play music that has been forgotten about and stuff you will not hear on the radio.

What has been your favorite moment as a DJ/Station Manager so far?

The best part is just being able to make someone smile one day at a time if they like what they hear.

What is the best concert you've ever attended, and why?

Seal is by far the best.

What artist (dead or alive) would you love to see live, but haven't had the chance to see?

Seal

We asked for some of the station's favorite songs. Here's what they had to say!
