The Hollies Announce Their First U.S. Outing in 18 Years

British rock group The Hollies have announced a full U.S. summer trek, The Road Is Long tour, which will be their first U.S. outing in 18 years.

Kicking off July 8 in Saratoga, CA and concluding July 26 in Boston, MA, the 14-date tour will make stops in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Austin, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and more.

“We are very excited to bring our The Road Is Long tour to the USA and play for all the fans who have waited so long to see us back in America,” drummer Bobby Elliott said in a statement. “The show will include all of our greatest hits and we cannot wait to get back on the road Stateside.”

The band, which currently features Elliott, Tony Hicks, Ray Stiles, Ian Parker, Peter Howarth, and Steve Lauri, achieved success in the U.K. and U.S. throughout the 60s and 70s, with songs such as 1972’s “Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress.” The Hollies were later inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

Tickets for most dates go on sale on March 6 at 10am local time, with presale beginning March 3. For more information, see The Hollies’ website.
