A new short film created by Neil Peart, Edge Factor's Jeremy Bout, and DW Drums features the late Rush drummer's voice.
The eight-minute film, Growth Rings, celebrates “the way in which music marks moments in our lives,” according to a statement from the drum manufacturer. "Just as the life of a tree can be understood through its growth rings, we can look at the milestones and eras of our lives and reminiscence of the songs and bands that resonated with us during those times."
Drawing parallels to growth rings on a tree, Peart says in the video, "Like those growth rings, popular music also reflects the weather of its times, evokes, and embodies the moods and movements that gave it context."
Featuring various clips throughout history, the video ends on footage of Neil Peart performing with Rush.
