The Indigo Girls have announced that they will release their new album this spring. Entitled Look Long, their 16th LP will come out April 24 and ahead of the release, they're previewing the album with a new song “Shit Kickin’.”
“Shit Kickin’” takes from Emily Saliers and Amy Ray’s memories of growing up in the south and creates a more realistic image of the experience than what is often heard on country radio.
The lyrics read, "Walking past the old men/get a load of that tomboy." “Flying out the back door down to the lakeshore/fishing for big ones, ‘Delta Dawn’ in my head.”
Produced by John Reynolds, Look Long will be the folk rock duo's first studio album in five years.
