Halloween hasn't even happened yet, but that hasn't stopped Kelly Clarkson from getting her new album When Christmas Comes Around up and ready for the soon-to-be winter holiday season.
The Voice coach and daytime TV host dropped her ninth studio album on October 15. Distributed by Atlantic, it includes 15 covers and co-penned tracks. It's also the follow-up to Clarkson's 2013 holiday record Wrapped in Red. Special guests include Chris Stapleton, Brett Eldredge, and none other than fellow Voice coach Ariana Grande.
The Ariana collaboration in particular happens on a song called "Santa, Can't You Hear Me." The two ladies beg Santa to give them what they want for Christmas while offering impressive harmonies only superstars of their caliber can muster. The song was produced by Jason Halbert and written by Aben Eubanks with Clarkson.
Since Ariana Grande's stint began on The Voice, her and Clarkson have forged a close friendship. The two iconic pop stars performed a jaw-dropping duet of Aretha Franklin's "Respect" on their NBC show, and Clarkson recently invited Grande over to The Kelly Clarkson Show to play games and chat.
"We had actually run into each other a couple of times before, but not really like, been able to talk and she so's funny. Like, very witty," Clarkson praised Grande while talking to Jimmy Fallon back in August.
When Christmas Comes Around is available to stream and bundles can be purchased via Clarkson's official online store.
