Labrinth has shared a new song featuring vocals from Billie Eilish. It's called "Never Felt So Alone" and was co-produced with Eilish’s brother, Finneas.
In a recent interview with Eddie Francis on Apple Music 1, Labrinth talked about approaching Eilish with the song. "When we spoke, she was like, 'Lab, I’ve been listening to your music for years.'" he revealed. "I was like, 'What?' It was like, 'Billie? What? You?' She was like, 'Yeah, been a fan.' She was like, 'I love this song as well, so I would love to do it with you.' That was big for me because I felt like we both get each other musically. It didn't feel foreign to me, and I love what she’s done on the record."
"Never Felt So Alone" follows Labrinth’s 2022 singles “Lift Off,” “Kill for Your Love,” and “Iridium.” The British musician – who is known for his musical creations that play on HBO's hit show Euphoria – has been teasing a new album called Ends & Begins. It will be his third LP, following his studio albums Electronic Earth (2012) and Imagination & the Misfit Kid (2019).
An early version of “Never Felt So Alone” had been previewed in Euphoria. Labrinth and Eilish also performed the song at one of Eilish’s December concerts in Inglewood, California. Labrinth posted a clip of the live performance to his Twitter, saying to Eilish and Finneas "You and your team are a group of wonderful people. A pleasure being in your universe. I’m a fan! What a kickass show!"
In 2020, Labrinth won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for Euphoria’s “All for Us.” He's slated to perform at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 15 and April 22.
As for Eilish, the pop star recently made her acting debut on Donald Glover's Swarm. Her last album, Happier Than Ever, was released in 2021.
