Lionel Richie Announces New Album & North American Tour Dates

Lionel Richie is set to have a busy summer with the release of his newest album Live From Las Vegas and a North American summer tour.

The new live album, which will be released on Aug. 23 via Capitol Records, was recorded during Richie's recent Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. It will feature hits from both Richie’s solo catalog and the Commodores.

Richie will also be hitting the road this summer with his 32-date Hello Tour. Beginning May 28 in Sugar Land, Texas and wrapping on Aug. 30 in St. Paul, Minnesota, he will make his way to amphitheaters and festivals across North America.

“I am so excited to bring my Live from Las Vegas album to life and to share it with my fans,” Richie said in a statement. “Also, I’m really looking forward to going on tour and performing for everyone this summer – it’s going to be one big party”

Tickets for the Hello Tour go on sale to the public Friday, March 29 at 10am on Richie's website. Pre-sale tickets are available for Citi cardholders beginning on Tuesday, March 26 at 10am. Each ticket purchased will be bundled with a CD copy of Live From Las Vegas.
