Megan Thee Stallion Previews ‘Traumazine’ With Spooky Funeral Video Clip

Is Megan Thee Stallion releasing a new album soon? That's what it seems like according to an eerie video clip she recently posted to social media.

In the ominous 19-second clip, Meg wears a black veil as she slowly approaches a casket and lays a single black rose on it. The video then cuts to a woman in a white dress and massive white hat walking through the rain. It is then unveiled to be a somber Megan Thee Stallion as the word “TRAUMAZINE” fills the screen.

Fans suspect Traumazine is the title of Megan's next album. On August 4, Megan shared the definition for “traumazine,” which is the “chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences.”

The rapper recently explained the inspiration behind her upcoming sophomore effort on Twitter. “I wrote this album for myself,” she explained, revealing that there will be 18 songs on the project. “I wanted to start writing in a journal but I said f--k it I’ll put it in a song.”

After releasing the funeral clip, Megan took to Instagram to offer some insight into her follow-up to 2020’s Good News. “It took a lot of self reflecting to get to the point in my life where I am right now…,” she wrote. “I ain’t saying I finally figured everything out or that I’m finally at peace, bc I’m not… buttt im excited for the hotties to get a better understanding of what’s happening in my head.”

In July, Megan dropped a video for her latest single, “Pressurelicious.” A release date for her sophomore LP has not been announced yet.
