Pixies have announced that they will be releasing their first album in three years, Beneath the Eyrie, on Sept. 13. To kick off the new era, they also released their lead single, “On Graveyard Hill.”
This will be Pixies’ seventh studio album and it will feature 12 songs that the band wrote and recorded in 2018 with production by Tom Dalgety.
The album creation process, including the songwriting, recording, and production of each track on Beneath the Eyrie, will be documented through their 12-episode podcast entitled "It’s a Pixies Podcast." Out on June 27, the podcast will be narrated and hosted by British music journalist Tony Fletcher.
The band is hitting the road on Aug. 31 in support of the album and they will be performing in Europe, the U.K., and the U.S. North American tour dates have yet to be announced.
