The Who Honored with U.K. Commemorative Coin

The Who are the next U.K. act to be honored with a commemorative coin in The Royal Mint's "Music Legends" series.

The new collection celebrates "one of the most popular and influential rock bands of all time” and was created by artist Henry Gray. Several coins are available for purchase, but each features the Union flag, Mod logo, and a classic Rickenbacker guitar stylized as a pinball table - a nod to 1969's "Pinball Wizard" and classic album Tommy.

Prices start at £13 ($18), with limited-edition coins available at varying price points. See the whole collection here.

The Who are the fourth act to receive their own coin as part of the "Music Legends" series, following David Bowie, Queen, and Elton John.
