K-RADIO, established in New York City, serves over 250,000 Koreans in the Tri-States (NY, NJ, CT). Initially starting as a way for Korean immigrants to share information and language, it became a dedicated Korean language station in 2004. By 2015, it provides broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Today, K-RADIO's programs and live video shows reach global audiences through internetbased platforms and smartphone apps, continuously developing new content to meet the needs of Korean communities worldwide. K-RADIO operates two over-the-air radio channels, K-RADIO New York (WWRU AM1660) and K-Radio Washington DC (WDCT AM1310), and is the Korean-American radio station with the largest coverage, largest audience, and most influence in the Americas, beyond the eastern United States.
