There are plenty of radio stations that play it safe. Sasebo Rock City isn’t one of them. Broadcasting directly to the rock-and-roll heart of Sasebo, Japan, we are a true genre-bending, cross-cultural sonic collision. Our mission is simple: if it’s raw, loud, honest, and built on a legendary groove, it gets airplay. Our rotation cuts across five decades of music history (1960s–2000s) to bring you an unforgiving mix of sounds you won't find anywhere else on the dial. On any given hour, we effortlessly bridge the gap between: • The Pioneers: The blues-rock royalty of Led Zeppelin and the timeless grit of Johnny Cash. • The Rebels: The raw punk energy of The Ramones and the upbeat, horn-driven pulse of global ska. • The Heavy Hitters: The aggressive thrash metal of Anthrax alongside the world-class, roaring anthems of modern J-Rock. • The Outliers: The driving, passionate storytelling of Celtic rock and underground alternative. No corporate playlists. No sterile pop loops. Just pure, unadulterated rock culture for the sailors, locals, expats, and headbangers who call this city home. This is Sasebo Rock City—turn it up or turn it off.
