Molehill Radio celebrates the golden age of Rock & Roll with a focus on mostly the 1950s through the 1970s, and occasionally going into other eras, with everything from hits to independent artists. The swamp series revisits the early creativity of blues and rock & roll as it evolved. Many of these songs later became famous through groups like the Rolling Stones, Beatles, Cream, etc. We also play early blues, soul, New Orleans music, doo wop, garage bands, psychedelia, British invasion, early punk, and rockabilly. The Molehill Special Shows are replays of live FM broadcasts delving into different sounds, sometimes featuring artist interviews. The Rock & Roll Time Machine follows the evolution of Rock & Roll beginning with early gospel, blues, and boogie woogie. We are exploring music history in The Sound of The Room, which are shows that feature different iconic recording studios: Fame Studio in Muscle Shoals, Gold Star, Bell Sound, Sun, and others. Listening to the music produced there you can get the sound of the room and the feeling evoked by the producers at each studio. Enjoy both classic hits and obscure gems. From scratchy old 45s to LPs to other media, The Moles dig underground to find the treasure!
