The all new WQLJ (97QLJ), is the internet version of WQDW 97.7 FM from September 26, 1976 until February 18, 1992 in Kinston, NC. Among the many successes of Q-97 were being rated Number #1 in our radio market (Greenville, Washington, and New Bern, NC) for 10 consecutive years and was the second highest rated Urban Contemporary station in the United States with a 19.0 rating in the spring of 1983 according to the Spring Arbitron ratings book.
