Brian Wilson & the Zombies Announce ‘Something Great From ’68’ Joint Tour
Brian Wilson and the Zombies are heading out on tour together this year with their North American Something Great from ’68 tour. The joint tour will celebrate their music from 1968 and beyond.
Beginning Aug. 31 at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and wrapping Sept. 26 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, the tour will take Wilson and the Zombies to 15 cities around the country.
As for what to expect, Wilson will be joined by Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. Concert goers can expect to hear songs from two of Wilson's favorite Beach Boys albums, 1968’s Friends and 1971’s Surf’s Up, as well as a mix of rarities and classics.
The Zombies will open each show with a full performance of their 1968 record, Odessey and Oracle. The first two shows will feature the Zombies’ current lineup. Then, founding members Chris White and Hugh Grundy will join the rest of the tour.
Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, May 10 at 10am EST via Live Nation. Pre-sales begin tomorrow, May 8. Complete information is available on Wilson’s website and the Zombies’ website.
