Ciara Shares New Single 'Jump' Featuring Coast Contra
Ciara is back! The R&B superstar has returned with a new song called "Jump." It's her first new single in two years.
The pumped-up bop features the L.A. hip-hop group Coast Contra. “I’m back on my mission to make the world dance,” Ciara said of the new song on Twitter. "I wanna see you...jump into the new YOU, jump into LOVE (loving on you), jump into FUN, jump into DANCE," she added.
"Jump" follows her 2019 album Beauty Marks, as well as her single “Melanin,” which features Lupita Nyong’o, La La Anthony, and City Girls. In 2020, she released the Hudson Mohawke and Stargate-produced single “Rooted.”
The new single is part of a deal Ciara signed with labels Republic Records and Uptown Records, in partnership with her own Beauty Marks Entertainment, according to a report published exclusively by Billboard.
“I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment,” Ciara said in a press statement. “[Republic co-president] Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career. I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists.”
While the new single is a welcome surprise, Ciara has not announced plans for an upcoming album or tour. While we wait for more Ciara news, you can listen to "Jump" on your desired streaming platform here.
