Nick Cave Covers Édith Piaf's 'La Vie En Rose'
Nick Cave has released a cover of Édith Piaf’s 1940s classic “La Vie En Rose,” which appears on Jack Antonoff’s soundtrack for the Apple TV+ series The New Look.
Cave covers the French singer’s signature track in English, giving it a fresh new sound from the original. Cave's cover follows a string of other artists creating their own versions of 1940s songs for The New Look's soundtrack. Lana Del Rey shared her version of Irving Berlin’s “Blue Skies,” Florence + The Machine delivered a cover of “White Cliffs of Dover,” and The 1975 contributed a rendition of “Now Is the Hour.”
