Taylor Swift Confirms Jack Antonoff Involvement on Upcoming Album 'Midnights' in New BTS Video
In the music industry, it's hard to find a professional friendship more powerful than the one between Taylor Swift and Jack Antonoff. Once again, it's been confirmed Antonoff has contributed his magic to another Swift LP. This time, it's her upcoming studio album Midnights. Swift confirmed the news via a behind-the-scenes look at the making of her new record.
The video was uploaded to Instagram and notably features footage of Antonoff and Swift jamming out to a song while they both play a keyboard. It's unclear what song they are dancing to, as the behind-the-scenes video is soundtracked to Niceboy Ed’s “Life You Lead."
Swift and Antonoff first collaborated on the 2013 One Chance single “Sweeter Than Fiction.” Since then, the producer has worked on 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and the two Taylor’s Version albums. Antonoff produced Swift’s 2016 single “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)” as well. The pair also have a recent connection to NYU: Antonoff served as an artist-in-residence at the prestigious university while Swift received an honorary doctorate and gave a commencement speech for the school this year.
Jack Antonoff has won several Grammy Awards for his work with Taylor Swift, including Album of the Year for1989 and Folklore, and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical for his work on “Gold Rush.”
Midnights, out October 21, will be Swift’s follow-up to 2020’s Evermore, as well as last year’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version). You can pre-order your preferred version of the new album here.
