About
What is HitBound® Radio? It all started back in 1984 when Mark Ramsey and I were working on an MBA consulting project with 98PXY in Rochester, New York. I got to know Program Director, Tom Mitchell (formerly of 93Q Syracuse) and, beyond the project work, started suggesting new songs for his playlist. One day, I suggested branding new songs as "HitBound" - Tom loved the idea, had a jingle made by JAM Creative Productions, and it became part of the station's identify. Fast-Forward: about 12 years ago, inspired by that experience (and trying to "pick the hits" early for my kids), I built HitBound Radio witih my own purchased JAM jingles - but instead of using music scheduling software, I created my own detailed rotation system via a custom-built spreadsheet. "HitBound Radio" was born. #NewHitsFirst
