The HitBound® Story My passion for new music started at the University of Rochester, where I featured new songs on my WRUR-FM college radio show. The HitBound idea came a few years later in 1984, when Mark Ramsey and I were working on an MBA consulting project with 98PXY in Rochester, New York. While getting to know Tom Mitchell, then Program Director of 98PXY, I began suggesting new songs for the station's playlist. One day, I suggested branding new songs as “HitBound.” Tom liked the idea, JAM Creative Productions created a jingle, and HitBound because part of the station's on-air identify. In 2012, I brought the idea back as HitBound® Radio, a 24/7 streaming station for people who still love discovering songs before everyone else does. HitBound® Radio uses my own purchased JAM jingles and a custom-built rotation system designed for fast updates, flexible song movement, and discovery-first programming. Comments, suggestions, and song ideas are always welcome at [email protected]. Eric
