What the hell is Swamp Puppy Radio? Let’s start by explaining what Swamp Puppy Radio is not - A big corporate run internet radio station that plays the same old, music industry sponsored music. The station is owned and operated by two people, Jason and Penny. Between the two of us our taste in music is very diverse and can cover a wide spectrum of music. Jason brings Hard Rock sensibilities that explore more than just the “hits”. Deep tracks are always in the mix and it can come from any decade - from the 60’s to Rock and Heavy Metal of today. Jason is also obsessed with guitar and this colors his song choices to flex into electric blues, classic rock and guitar instrumental compositions. The harder it rocks, the better it is….at least that’s what Jason plays. Penny brings a different flavor and often gravitates to songs that invoke an emotional response, a happy carefree song, a song that can bring a tear to you eye, make you love harder or express the hopeless or healing in a love lost. Country, rock, pop, forgotten classic, reggae, and everything in-between. If it makes you feel something, it’s probably in her playlist. So, what is Swamp Puppy Radio? A celebration of music we like, with no limits, no “standard format”, just a passionate push and pull of two people’s polarizing musical tastes. If you are ready to take a ride on a musical roller coaster and surrender control for something that you can’t find anywhere else.
