WWWC is a 24-hour Christian Music Radio Station serving Northwest North Carolina. 3WC began broadcasting Southern Gospel Music on 1240 AM, on July 11, 1994 and began broadcasting around the world on the internet on October 30, 2000. Our FM signal on 100.1, came on the air in February 2016 and our newest FM signal serving the Yadkin Valley is now on the air at 103.5 FM. Foothills Media is the parent company of 3WC Radio If you are tired of “computed generated” or “satellite services” piping music and programming into your local radio station, 3WC is the station for you. Our local, award winning, DJs are in the studio to give our listeners a fresh, personal, and local touch. Our “TWO MAN” Morning Show Team features John Wishon, past winner of the Southern Gospel DJ of the year, a 10-time nominee for Southern Gospel DJ of the year and two time winner of the SINGING NEWS Golden Mic Award, and local favorite, Ted Hayes. John & Ted have been co-hosting the morning show for nearly 23 years. Afternoons feature past winner of the Southern Gospel Female Air Personality of the Year, and winner of the Singing News Golden Mic Award, Angela Henley. Listeners love Angela's keen sense of humor and dedication to the Wilkes Community. Angela's show is always packed full of local information, inspiration, humor and fantastic music. Evenings till midnight are hosted by Ethan Rivers who fills his show with interesting talk and a great music mix. 3WC also prides itself in local news coverage and we keep listeners in touch with what is going on in and around the Foothills of North Carolina. With SIX local newscasts each weekday, listeners depend on us for local information. 3WC broadcasts the local high school game of the week. In addition there are FOUR Sportsdesk shows each weekday recapping LOCAL sports activities. Unlike most Christian Music stations, 3WC is an “ALL MUSIC” station-excluding ministry programs on Sunday. With a music library of over 7000 songs, nobody plays a better variety of Christian music! What we offer can not be found on an internet or satellite music service. It also CAN NOT be found on an out of town "major market station." We are used by local, regional, and national advertisers and are very proud to be a part of the Northwest North Carolina region.
