2020 Oscars Preview: What to Expect
The 92nd Academy Awards will air live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles tonight (Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020) on ABC at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Viewers can also watch via the livestream on ABC.com or the ABC app.
For the second year in a row, there will be no host. Instead, the ceremony will rely on the presenters to move things along. Presenters include Mahershala Ali, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Zazie Beetz, Timothée Chalamet, Olivia Colman, James Corden, Penélope Cruz, Beanie Feldstein, Will Ferrell, Jane Fonda, Josh Gad, Gal Gadot, Zack Gottsagen, Tom Hanks, Salma Hayek, Oscar Isaac, Mindy Kaling, Diane Keaton, Regina King, Shia LaBeouf, Brie Larson, Spike Lee, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, George MacKay, Rami Malek, Steve Martin, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sandra Oh, Natalie Portman, Anthony Ramos, Keanu Reeves, Chris Rock, Ray Romano, Maya Rudolph, Mark Ruffalo, Kelly Marie Tran, Taika Waititi, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Wiig, and Rebel Wilson.
Viewers can expect to see performances for all those nominated for Best Original Song: Cynthia Erivo for “Stand Up” from Harriet; Elton John for “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” from Rocketman; Idina Menzel and Aurora for “Into the Unknown” from Frozen II; Chrissy Metz for “I’m Standing with You” from Breakthrough; and Randy Newman for “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” from Toy Story 4.
There will also be special performances from Billie Eilish and Janelle Monáe.

The "Oscars All Access: Red Carpet Live" will be live streamed exclusively on The Academy's Twitter at 5pm ET/3pm PST. The "Oscars Opening Ceremony: Live from the Red Carpet" will air live on ABC starting at 6:30pm ET, although pre-red carpet coverage will begin at 5:30pm ET. There will also be live red carpet footage on E! at 5pm ET, just after "E!'s Brunch at the Oscars 2020" which begins at 1pm ET.
