A$AP Rocky Debuts New Song & Jumps Out of Helicopter During Rolling Loud Headlining Show

On Saturday (March 15), A$AP Rocky performed a headlining show at the Rolling Loud music festival in Inglewood, California. The rapper took over the Hollywood Park Grounds not by gracing the stage, but its skies, flying over the audience in a black helicopter emblazoned with the initials of his upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb.

While safely seated onboard in a harness, Rocky performed his new song “All Black (Stole Ya Flow)” and then debuted an unreleased track. After rapping “A$AP Forever,” Rocky climbed out of the helicopter and very slowly rappelled down to the stage.

It’s been seven years since Rocky’s last studio album, Testing, and he used the Rolling Loud festival grounds to break out several of his recent singles, including “Tailor Swif” and “Highjack.” He debuted a few more new songs, too: “Stop Snitching,” and the Metro Boomin–produced “Your Honor.” Rocky also brought out Skepta for “Praise the Lord (Da Shine)” near the end of his set.

Rocky's high-flying performance at Rolling Loud was an important one, as it comes a month after a jury found the rapper not guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. The charges stemmed from a November 2021 altercation with a former friend, who claimed the hip hop star shot him in Hollywood. Rocky originally rejected a plea deal that would have given him six months in prison and a seven-year suspended sentence, instead pleading not guilty back in 2022. The rapper and his team successfully argued the police lacked evidence and failed to find a gun or shell casings on the scene. (They claimed a prop gun was used.)

“Thank y’all for saving my life. Thank y’all for making the right decision,” Rocky told the jurors as they left the courtroom.
