Bobby Bare Preps New Shel Silverstein-Penned Album ‘Great American Saturday Night’
Country singer-songwriter Bobby Bare announced that he is releasing a new album that was written by Bare’s late friend, songwriter and author Shel Silverstein.
The collection of songs, which is entitled Great American Saturday Night, has been in the works since 1978, but was never released. Ahead of the album's release, a new song, "Livin' Legend," is available to stream now.
Silverstein and Bare met in the early 70s at songwriter Harlan Howard’s house and began collaborating, which led to Bobby Bare Sings Lullabys, Singin’ in the Kitchen, Drinkin’ From the Bottle, Singin’ From the Heart, and more.
Great American Saturday Night is currently available for preorder and is set to be released April 17.
