Britney Spears and will.i.am to Release New Collaboration 'Mind Your Business'

More than a decade after their hit "Scream & Shout," Britney Spears and will.i.am have teamed up for another single called "Mind Your Business."

The song was originally reported to have a release on Tuesday (July 18). However, social media and CBS now report the track will drop on Friday. In an interview with the latter media outlet, will.i.am said "Mind Your Business" conveys a message about the importance of privacy, as the spotlight often attracts relentless public scrutiny.

"There's a thin line, and everyone deserves their version of privacy," he said, speaking from Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera.

The song will not only reflect on struggles celebrities face, but promises to include lyrics referring to anyone who feels their privacy is invaded in today's social media-driven world. It's a topic that hits close to home for Spears, who was typically swarmed by paparazzi during the late 90s and early 2000s and suffered through a 13-year conservatorship.

Speaking of the conservatorship, the single marks Spears' second release since it ended in 2021. Her last collaboration was with Elton John on "Hold Me Closer." will.i.am said he is a friend and supporter of Spears and championed her "through her times when she was fighting for her liberation," adding "she is an amazing person."
