Demi Lovato Announces New Album 'Dancing With the Devil...The Art of Starting Over'
Demi Lovato's docuseries Dancing With the Devil is set to premiere at SXSW tonight and will be arriving on YouTube March 23. On Monday, Lovato announced there will be a new album to go along with the series. The artist revealed her seventh studio album, Dancing With the Devil...The Art of Starting Over, will drop April 2, 2021.
The docuseries, which will be available to stream in four parts, focuses on Lovato's near fatal overdose in 2018. Lovato's reps have said that like the docuseries, her new album is "deeply personal," and will feature the song “Anyone,” which Lovato performed at the 2020 Grammy Awards.
Dancing With the Devil...The Art of Starting Over is executive produced by Lovato and her manager Scooter Braun. It is the follow-up to her 2017 album Tell Me You Love Me, which hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The singer says her new album is comprised of 19 tracks and will span genres including country, R&B, and ’90s pop. There are also three bonus songs, and she teased three collaborations (one of which may be with Ariana Grande).

In the trailer for Dancing With the Devil, Lovato reveals why she's opening up about her overdose. "I’ve had so much to say over the past two years wanting to set the record straight about what it was that happened," she says. "I’ve had a lot of lives. Like my cat, you know? I’m on my ninth life. I'm ready to get back to doing what I love, which is making music."
