Demi Lovato Preps Rock Album & Announces Lead Single 'Skin of My Teeth'
Say bye-bye to Demi Lovato's pop career...the artist has slammed the final nail in their pop coffin with the official unveiling of Holy Fvck, the singer’s eighth studio album.
Regarding the album, which is set for release on August 19, Lovato said: “The process of making this album has been the most fulfilling yet, and I’m grateful to my fans and collaborators for being on this journey with me. Never have I been more sure of myself and my music, and this record speaks that for itself. To my Lovatics who have been rocking out with me since the beginning and those who are just now coming along for the ride, thank you. This record is for you.”
The 16-track album will find Lovato sinking into their rock and pop-punk influences. The new era will officially begin with the record's lead single “Skin of My Teeth,” out June 10. The singer will also perform the single on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on June 9.
In the meantime, Lovato has released an album trailer to YouTube as well as announced an accompanying 32-date tour for the fall. Lovato will be trekking across South America and the United States with support from Dead Sara and Royal & The Serpent. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 10 at 10am local time. The new project will be Lovato's follow-up to their very personal 2021 album Dancing With the Devil...The Art of Starting Over. That project featured artists like Ariana Grande, Noah Cyrus, Saweetie, and Sam Fischer. It was also accompanied by a similarly-titled docuseries that premiered at SXSW that year.
