February 2019 Featured Team Member: Andrei Epure
Andrei Epure, one of our great software developers, is Media Creek, Inc.'s featured team member for the month of February! Media Creek, Inc. is comprised of Live365, EmpireStreaming, and Abovecast.
Andrei is a software developer located in the beautiful city of Brasov, Romania, very close to the mountains he loves so much. After researching new technologies, implementing features, and fixing bugs, he usually hits the slopes or the swimming pool nearby.
Andrei, what all do you do for Media Creek?
I'm a programmer, I joined the company in June, and I've been working on Live365 for Broadcasters for the most part.
I split my time between implementing features, fixing bugs, and helping the Solutions team get to the bottom of issues.
What's the best part about working for Media Creek?
The incredible people I met here and the work atmosphere.
I've never been in such a small company, I've only worked for big corporations so far, so this is eye-opening for me.
I know it's a tough question, but if you had to pick just ONE music genre to listen to for the rest of your life, what would that be?
Just one? I'm trying not to think of sub-genres right now, but it's still a tough one.
I'll go with Alternative, because that's where my favorite band/artist pick would be from.
Who is your all-time favorite band/artist?
Definitely Tool, and its lead vocals, Maynard James Keenan.
What's your favorite song by Tool?
Schism, but just because I have to pick one. There are many more.
Do you have your own Live365 station?
Yes, but since I'm a developer, I break it all the time on purpose, so please never try listening to it!
What's your favorite station on Live365?
This is a funny one. I got to listen to a lot of Planet Zeb, because that's where a lot of feedback came from, and I really enjoyed the music.
It was a nice combination of "something's broken" and "Hey, this sounds nice."
