Kelly Clarkson Performs 'Merry Christmas Baby' on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

Kelly Clarkson showed off some of her new Christmas album during The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (Dec. 14) with a performance of her song “Merry Christmas Baby.”

The track is the opening number of Clarkson's new holiday record, When Christmas Comes Around, which she released back in October. Distributed by Atlantic, it includes 15 covers and co-penned tracks. It's also the follow-up to Clarkson's 2013 holiday record Wrapped in Red. Special guests include Chris Stapleton, Brett Eldredge, and fellow Voice coach Ariana Grande, who appears on the already-released track "Santa Can't You Hear Me."

"Merry Christmas Baby" is one of the five original tracks from the album Clarkson and co-writer Aben Eubanks penned. The other four include the collab with Ariana Grande, lead single “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You),” “Merry Christmas (To the One I Used to Know),” and the Chris Stapleton-assisted "Glow." Classic holiday covers on the record include “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Santa Baby,” “Last Christmas,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”

To promote her second Christmas record, Clarkson threw a holiday special, Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around. It premiered on NBC earlier this month.
