Pharrell Williams Shares New Song 'Cash In Cash Out' Featuring Tyler, the Creator & 21 Savage
A great musical team-up has just occurred. Pharrell Williams has shared the single "Cash In Cash Out," which features Tyler, the Creator and 21 Savage.
The bold and memorably repetitive hip-hop song is Williams' latest tune since collaborating with Pusha T and JAY-Z on the track "Neck & Wrist" back in April. "Cash In Cash Out" also comes with a brand new music video just released today (June 10). It sees animated versions of Pharrell, 21 Savage, and Tyler interacting with various elements on a merry-go-round-like structure.
In an Apple Music 1 interview, Pharrell explained to Zane Lowe why he chose the two artists to support his track. “I knew the track was aggressive, and it doesn’t let up,” Williams said. “So it’s like those are the two. It’s like letting two pit bulls loose. Ravenous. Two ravenous wolves. Tyler went crazy. He had done that verse before he put his last album out.”
It's far from the first time Pharrell and Tyler have worked together. Williams was featured on Tyler’s iconic Wolf song “IFHY,” the Cherry Bomb cut “Keep da O’s,” and the Call Me If You Get Lost track “Juggernaut.” Williams also sang backing vocals on the Flower Boy closer “Enjoy Right Now Today” and the Igor closer “Are We Still Friends?” More recently, he co-produced Tyler’s “Come On, Let’s Go” and appeared in the track’s music video.
While Pharrell and 21 Savage haven't worked on any previous tracks together, the rapper will make an appearance at Pharrell's Something in the Water festival later this month. Tyler will also be performing, as well as Williams himself.
