Starfish Radio was launched in the spring of 2016. The idea was to create a custom radio station to broadcast across Ocean Lakes’ two closed circuit TV channels – OLFC Info and OLP Info Channels and also broadcast throughout our amenities and offices. It needed to include helpful info for our guests and feature several genres of music that is popular and also family-friendly. Starfish Radio has been so popular that guests ask how they can tune in from home. Online streaming is not difficult (at least to the tech guys – after all, geeks rule the world) but it can get costly, depending on how many people stream the station. So, our team did some research, crunched some numbers, and found a way to make sure that we are legal. Now you can take a beach break and chill to the sounds of your “home away from home” – enjoy!
