Donald Glover's 'Atlanta' to End with Season 4
Atlanta fans are eager to watch the show's upcoming third season after almost four years of no new episodes. However, star and executive producer Donald Glover has revealed it's almost the end for the FX show: after this new season, Atlanta will end with season 4.
FX announced the news on February 17 during a presentation on the Television Critics Association press tour.
During a panel for the show, Glover said he was at peace with the decision to end the show, adding, "to be honest, I wanted to end it after Season 2, and I think we had talked about that for a minute."
He continued, "The story was always supposed to be what it was,” concluding, "I think it ends perfectly."
Season 3 of Atlanta - which sees Earn (Glover), Paper Boi/Alfred Miles (Bryan Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) touring Europe - is set to premiere March 24 on FX, with the episodes hitting Hulu the next day. The fourth and final season has already been shot. It is expected to air in the fall.
