Grammy Museum to Feature Collection of Amy Winehouse's Outfits & Personal Items

The first-ever Amy Winehouse exhibit in the United States is set to open at the Grammy Museum next month. The exhibit will "capture the spirit of Winehouse" by showcasing some of the late singer’s outfits and personal items.

Beyond Black — The Style Of Amy Winehouse will open Jan. 17, 2020 and collect handwritten lyrics, journal entries, never-before-seen home video, stage costumes, and the Dolce & Gabbana-designed outfit she wore during her 2008 Grammys satellite appearance.

Following the exhibition, many of the display items will go up for auction at Julien’s Auctions in November 2021. The proceeds will then benefit the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which works to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people.

Regarding the exhibition, Winehouse's father, Mitch Winehouse, said, "We're eager for people to see her bold, beautiful spirit through all forms of her creativity and look forward to honoring her legacy by displaying these items at the Grammy Museum."

"Amy's music and influence reached across genres and generations. It's an honor for the Grammy Museum to host her very first exhibit in the United States and celebrate her talents, creative process and musical legacy," said the Museum's president Michael Sticka.

The exhibition will run Jan. 17-April 13, 2020. Tickets are available here.
